Los Angeles Hotels

Author: Richard Romando

Finding a hotel is definitely not difficult in Los Angeles. From the upscale hotels of Beverly Hills and West Hollywood to the cheap but comfortable options in downtown LA, you will find hotels in every area of the city. Tourism is a major industry here and you can find plenty of accommodation options to suit your requirements within your budget.

In Los Angeles, location is everything: the more trendy the area, the more expensive is the tariff. But finding the right neighborhood for your stay can make or break your vacation. If you are in LA on work, then choose a hotel close to where you have to go.

If you are in LA for a holiday, choose your location very carefully based on what you want to do. For instance, if all to want to do is to sun on the beach all day long, then Downtown LA isnt your best option, as you will spend a lot of time traveling to and from your hotel. Your best bet is to find a hotel in Santa Monica or Venice. These are popular destinations with tourists so make reservations well in advance. You could also stay in the citys Westside, which is close to the beach as well as LAs main attractions.

If money isnt a constraint, then the place to be seen in is Beverly Hills or Bel Air. Hotels such as the Beverly Hills Hotel have become visitor attractions themselves. If you want to party and dance the night away, then you should choose a hotel in West Hollywood, the hub of LA nightlife.

Keep in mind that all hotels charge a 12 to 17 per cent city hotel tax. Your hotel (especially if you are living in the city) may charge you for parking. So check it out before you make your reservations. Some hotels also provide free airport shuttle for those who arent renting cars.
