Launch Pad Introduces Subliminal

Author: Farris Green

Who would have ever thought that a call out for a guitar player from the audience would turn into such a wow! Beginning the night off at Launch Pad playing excellent covers of Eagles and Jimi Hendrix it could only follow by something as extraordinary as beat boxing.

Subliminal was the one who amazed me and everyone else by doing what famous beatboxing legend Rahzel is known for, which is spitting out the chorus and the beat at the same time using only his vocals. Something that you would think is impossible but it came easily to Subliminal who started out his performance with a poem he wrote. This one-man wonder can do just about anything from beatboxing to architecture. His first time at the Launch Pad opened his eyes to all the great music hopefuls.

Its a good vibe, a place where stars are born. Its got that real atmosphere thats underground, where things happen, where people can get the most creative, said Subliminal.

Subliminal is working on his first album that is near completion. Three years later I am finally going to have material. Finally people will be able to take home some of Subliminal, he said.

Look out for more of Subliminal particularly this summer in and out of Toronto. A definite amazement and yet another divine addition to the Launch Pad.

Author Bio:

Farris Green

I am a journalist in the making, recently moving to Toronto from Peterborough to attend the University of Guelph-Humber for Journalism. With only one year left of high school I decided what I wanted to pursue as a career and this was it! CTV is where it all started; my stepfather introduced me to many people in the business, as he is their military analyst. In addition my mother, Darlene, is a co-host for the talk show "Daytime," on Rogers Television.

It is my second year of University and already I feel I have accomplished a lot. Behind the scenes, I have learned tremendously when volunteering for CHEX Television in Peterborough and Rogers Television in the Simcoe-Grey Region. CTV also took me under their wing for the special 60th Anniversary of D-day in France, and the Shania Twain live at Dundas Square both working as the assistant guest coordinator. It was a privilege to work with amazing people like Beverly Thompson and Seamus O'Regan. On the writing side of journalism I have done some freelance work for Peterborough This Week, a newspaper that is distributed free to all Peterborough citizens each week.

In the future I would like to venture into entertainment or sports on television due to the amount of passion I have for the two. I am not an athlete or anything, I just love watching sports, and music is something I could not live without.
