Are We There Yet?

Author: H. Bernard Wechsler

You Are Perfect - Do Not Dare Change

Always Insist You Are Great!

You might act stupid; you might think jerky; you may even feel like a moron; but do not let yourself give in to reality.

You are still growing and learning and that makes you great and full of potential, no matter what others say.

You may be wrong, but you are never bad, so make no compromise, no surrender. Be pig-headed in the face of resistance and adversity.

Your secret gifts and talents are persistence and determination - Grit - not grits.

Gertie

Gertrude Stein said, There aint no answer, there aint going to be any answer. There never has been an answer, and that is the answer.

What is the question - again?

Eddie

Edward Lorenz of MIT said, Small changes lead to Massive-Reactions. He called it the Butterfly Effect and asked,

Does the flap of a butterfly's wings in Brazil set off a tornado in Texas?

Some think you stupid - so what? Some think your reasoning is totally deviant; you may even feel ignorant. We know you are talented in a unique way they are missing.

Your task is not so much to see what no one has yet seen; but to think what nobody has yet thought, about that which everybody sees. That is your form of enlightenment, not common conformity.

You are beautiful the way you are this moment, and you are lovable because of what you are capable of being.

Al

Finally, remember what Al Einstein said,

a) Not everything that counts can be counted. And not everything that can be counted - counts.

b) Continuing to do the same thing and expecting a different result, is Webster's definition of insanity.

What is your bottom line?

Your parents may think you a perfect fool; but remember, no one is perfect. Your Significant-Other may consider you hopeless and helpless, but focus on your ability to change to suit yourself.

Your closest friends may whisper - you dress funny, and will never be on the silver-screen. Yet you are still a good person and lovable.

Who says so?

The jury is still out, but we are thinking about it and will get back to you.

Endwords

Eppi

When in doubt - fall back on the words of Epicurus, the Pleasurable, 341-270 B.C., who said,

Death is nothing to us - since when we are - Death has not come, and when Death has-come - we are not.
