Mercury A/C Condensers: Giving You a Cool Driving Experience

Author: Joe Thompson

Driving in your faithful Mercury during the summer months should prove to be a cool experience - that is if you're AC condenser is working properly. However, if you do feel that amidst turning on your air-conditioner to its full capacity you still feel sweaty and hot, then you may want to check your AC condenser.

The Mercury AC condenser radiates heat of the refrigerant, which at most times is a Freon gas, passed to it by the AC compressor. The AC condenser cools the refrigerant and turns it to a liquid form. The engine fan would usually aid in the cooling of the refrigerant, albeit an additional condenser fan would still be needed. The liquid refrigerant would still be warm but it would not be as hot as the gas in the compressor. An expansion valve would then advance to transform the liquid refrigerant into a cold, gaseous form, so as to once again absorb the warm air inside your automobile.

Thinking about how it works the Mercury AC condenser is one of the vital and essential parts needed to keep your air-conditioner working for your Mercury. It could, in a nutshell, be compared to your vehicle's radiator because it works out the same function. The radiator keeps the water circulating throughout the engine to cool, and on the other hand, it is your Mercury AC condenser that keeps the refrigerant flowing through your car's air conditioning system to cool. This important part of the cooling system also helps to ensure that the engine of a vehicle and its components is working at its best.

Changing a Mercury AC condenser which has already gone through the usual wear-and-tear would surely ensure you a cool ride, even during those humid summer days.
